Ryan McCarthy is a managing director in BRG’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Transaction Advisory practice based in Nashville, Tennessee.
With more than ten years of finance and accounting experience, he has been a key advisor to both strategic and private equity investors focusing on the delivery of buy- and sell-side due diligence and advisory services.
Mr. McCarthy specializes in financial analysis (e.g., quality of earnings, quality of revenue, working capital and net debt considerations), financial modeling, multi-site considerations, bankruptcy transactions, transaction service agreement considerations, integration planning, and business segment carve-outs.
Mr. McCarthy’s sector experience includes healthcare providers (e.g., hospice, home health, home care, non-for-profit and for-profit hospitals, behavioral health, ambulatory centers, physician practices, emergency medicine, urgent care, physical therapy, dental practices, infusion therapy, diagnostic imaging, medical transportation), healthcare software and IT companies, healthcare staffing, and healthcare service providers.
Prior to joining BRG, Mr. McCarthy worked in the healthcare transaction advisory practice at a nationally recognized accounting firm. Mr. McCarthy began his career in the assurance practice of a Big Four accounting firm, where he spent five years advising private and publicly traded companies through financial statement audits, IPO-readiness activities, and preparing carve-out financial statements.
