DISTRESSED DAILY: Supply-Chain Disruption for Retailers Worsens

Merchants and consumer-goods makers “are dealing with challenges not seen for a generation,” Darren Morrison wrote in a recent report. The disruption to global supply chains is getting worse, spurring shortages of consumer products and making it more expensive for companies to ship goods where they’re needed. The deteriorating situation will squeeze operating profits at retailers and lead to higher prices and less choice for consumers.
