Carole Amidon-Johansson

Carole Amidon-Johansson specializes in economic and statistical analyses for labor and employment matters.

She routinely provides statistical analyses with regard to allegations of race, gender, and ethnicity differences in compensation, hiring, promotion, and termination decisions. She has more than twenty-five years of experience in studying differences in compensation and other terms of employment.

Dr. Amidon-Johansson has provided testimony in state and federal court and before regulating agencies, such as the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs regarding compensation differences by race, gender, and age. She has also provided testimony in race and gender discrimination matters involving issues of promotion and termination. On a consulting basis, Dr. Amidon-Johansson has provided analyses of compensation, estimations of damages due to alleged unpaid overtime and off-the-clock work, and damages related to reduction-in-force events and denial of promotions.

Dr. Amidon-Johansson earned her doctoral degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in econometrics, labor economics, and finance. She has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Arkansas and undergraduate degrees in mathematics and economics from Alma College, and attended the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
