Dr. Robin Cantor explains how current methodologies used to estimate greenhouse gas (GhG) impacts may not be a good proxy for reporting GhG numbers across a supply chain. Dr. Cantor suggests that current methodologies might create an area of exposure for greenwashing claims as companies increase their voluntary disclosures concerning environmental, social, and governance (ESG)–related commitments to satisfy investor and consumer demands.
