William “Wick” Smith is a managing director with BRG’s corporate finance group, focusing on valuations and opinions, and heads the firm’s Tax and Financial Reporting Valuation practice.
He has more than twenty-five years of corporate finance and valuation experience, and specializes in transaction-related opinions as well as valuations to comply with tax and financial reporting requirements. He has worked extensively with both domestic and international public and private companies, and across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, technology, food and beverage, media and entertainment, telecommunications, transportation, business services, retail, manufacturing and distribution, agriculture, and many others.
Mr. Smith’s opinion work has encompassed a variety of transactions involving mergers, acquisitions, dividend recaps, spinoffs, leveraged buyouts, and related-party transactions. He has also performed valuation work for tax and financial reporting purposes on transactions ranging in size from $20 million to over $2 billion involving companies with operations in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
