Derek Thieda

Managing Director

Derek Thieda is a managing director in BRG’s Transaction Advisory practice who provides services to private equity investors, public and private corporations, and investment banking clients.

He has over nine years of experience in transaction advisory, which includes clients and targets with both domestic and international operations.

Mr. Thieda’s experience includes advising clients on sell- and buy-side financial due diligence on full enterprise sales and carve-outs of business segments and product lines, financial modeling, divestiture exit readiness, merger integration and synergies assessments, Sale and Purchase Agreement reviews, negotiation of net working capital targets and post-close NWC disputes, standalone cost analysis, remainco. stranded cost analysis and rationalization, and carve-out and spin-off of business segment transactions. He has been involved in over one hundred sell- and buy-side transactions. His sector experience includes diversified industrials, healthcare, consumer products, technology, financial services, direct marketing, and education.

Before joining BRG, Mr. Thieda was a senior manager in the Transaction Advisory Services practice of a multinational professional services firm.
