Society of Construction Law North America 2022 Conference

The Society of Construction Law North America (SCL NA) hosted its inaugural annual conference. The theme for the conference was “Rocky Mountain Highs and Lows: Lessons Learned in Managing Construction Disputes.”

On July 7, Jeff Ottesen participated in “Mitigation v. Acceleration: What’s the Difference?” Topics included contractor-delays; voluntary, instructed, and constructive acceleration in the context of how it arises; and what generally has to be shown to recover.

The conference explored themes related to complex dispute resolution and construction law best practices, as the industry adapts and rises above the challenges in 2022. Dara Hendrix and Pasha Ameli are on the board of directors of the SCL NA and conference planning committee. BRG was the platinum sponsor of the conference.
