Chris Heckman was previously general counsel to the global Insurance and Risk Management department of a major US-based multinational oil and gas corporation and its captive insurer.
For the past twenty-five years, he was the principal insurance claims adviser to the corporation and its affiliates worldwide. He managed and coordinated settlement of some of the largest liability insurance claims ever made, including a major oil spill claim, and the global environmental, asbestos, and products liability claims of major oil and natural resources companies. He is a frequent speaker and author on insurance and risk management issues nationally.
