Foreign Investment Watch Top Advisors 2024
Foreign Investment Watch selected Steve Klemencic among its Top Advisors 2024, an annual list of leading global experts who provide advice and counsel concerning foreign investment and national security in the US and abroad. Rankings are based on criteria including experience, reputation, clients served, first-person interviews, references, and articles published.
Mr. Klemencic serves as BRG’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) leader and is has extensive experience auditing and monitoring foreign transactions for their impact on national security. He has served as compliance auditor on transactions, served on CFIUS third-party monitorship teams, and shared experiences and insights with Foreign Investment Watch readers on topics like building trust with CFIUS and preparing for compliance and mitigation expenditures.
A former senior analyst at the National Intelligence Council, Mr. Klemencic developed and implemented the assessment process for the US intelligence community review of foreign acquirers entering into a CFIUS transaction. The effort encompassed all sixteen US intelligence organizations and provided a structured process for identifying potential threats to US national security.
