BRG Appoints Managing Director to Further Grow EMEA Business
BRG has appointed Mike Couser as a managing director of Business Development for its Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA) region.
Couser has nearly 20 years of experience in professional services’ business development, including 13 years as a senior clerk for leading barristers’ chambers Blackstone Chambers. He joins BRG to help build the firm’s EMEA business across its core practice areas, including commercial litigation, international arbitration, competition disputes and global investigations.
Commenting on Couser’s appointment, Daniel Ryan, head of BRG’s London Office, said: “We’re delighted to be starting the new year with Mike on board. Our London and wider EMEA operations saw another year of growth in 2020, and Mike will be key to continuing that momentum. His deep legal-sector relationships and understanding of our areas of work enable him to truly understand client needs and to identify the right expertise from across our broad global network”.
Couser previously held a business development role in the economic and financial consulting practice of a global consulting firm. He is experienced in assisting clients in disputes and competition cases, regulatory matters and investigations through the identification and selection of financial, accounting and industry experts to address questions of finance, value, economics and business intelligence.
Couser commented: “The calibre of the team and the entrepreneurial ethos at BRG are genuinely exciting to be part of. In its first 10 years, the firm has achieved impressive growth and recognition, and I know there is potential for us to do much more. I look forward to ensuring clients understand the range and quality of expertise we have to offer and to helping our experts deliver great work in EMEA and beyond”.
Couser will be based primarily in BRG’s London office and will focus across the EMEA region, working with BRG colleagues and clients in the UK, the Middle East, Russia and the CIS region and South Africa, as well as collaborating closely with BRG professionals in the firm’s six Asia–Pacific locations and across the US, where the firm is headquartered.
