BRG Strengthens Construction Practice with Senior Hire and Promotions in Dubai
BRG today announces the appointment of director Zach Law to its Global Construction practice, based in Dubai, alongside the promotions of Alex Burton and Jamie Shafto to director. This follows news of three senior hires appointed to the practice in January in London and Singapore.
Law is a Quantity Surveyor by training and brings over thirty years of commercial and claims consultancy experience in the engineering and construction industries. His extensive international experience working on projects in Europe, the Middle East and Asia spans dispute resolution and expert witness support in mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation, with his primary-sector expertise being in power generation, civil infrastructure and building. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Chartered Institute of Building and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers, and a member of both the Society of Construction Law and the Adjudication Society.
Burton, also a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, is a quantum expert and has extensive experience in international arbitration and litigation. He joined BRG’s Dubai office in 2019.
Commenting on the appointment and promotions, Michael Kenyon, a managing director and head of BRG’s Dubai office, said: “We’re delighted to share news of another key hire in our rapidly expanding team and to add Zach’s great expertise to our regional offering. We congratulate Jamie and Alex on their well-deserved promotions and thank them for their ongoing work in building our leading global practice.”
