Business Valuation and Assessment of Damages in Practice

In association with HK45, a group for young arbitration practitioners based in Hong Kong, Mustafa Hadi and Lydia Tang presented an interactive hybrid workshop on business valuation and assessment of damages.

The workshop was targeted toward legal practitioners at all levels and especially for those who regularly deal with valuation and quantum issues in a legal dispute. The workshop:

• provided a guide to the conceptual framework of valuation, which participants can use to assess a valuation based on first principles without crunching numbers
• delved further into details with valuation considerations for climate change-related risks and opportunities
