Artificial Intelligence and Ethics

Richard Finkelman and Steven Gawthorpe led a webinar for US Foods on artificial intelligence (AI) and ethics.

The webinar covered basic knowledge about AI, challenges, and how AI and ethics issues already are embedded into our daily lives. The presenters discussed breakdowns and details regarding four key areas of AI and ethics: transparency, justice and fairness, responsibility and accountability, and privacy. They looked at each area from the perspective of the current state of ethics guidelines, challenges faced, and potential legal implications. The speakers closed the session with a discussion about the future of AI and ethics and considerations for how guidelines can be implemented.
