Daniel Chai

Daniel Chai specializes in the application of modern financial and institutional economics to complex business issues and proceedings.

He advises clients and their counsel on matters typically involving asset valuation, economic analysis of contracts, and the role of incentives and industry custom and practice in the corporate strategic decision-making process. These matters are often in the context of shareholder disputes, M&A transaction litigation, economic damages quantification, or allegations of white collar crime.

Mr. Chai has provided trial and affidavit testimony in the state courts of New Hampshire. He has extensive experience managing large multiple-expert litigation consulting engagements, serving in the role of coordinating, non-testifying expert. Some noteworthy matters have included his participation as a coordinating expert in a high-profile multidisciplinary executive compensation matter; and in a class and derivative shareholder litigation, ultimately on behalf of a private equity firm.
