Melody Chen is an economic consultant who has over fifteen years of experience in consulting and public policy.
As part of BRG’s Business Insurance Claims group, she has led teams in the preparation of dozens of business and homeowner claims related to the recent California wildfires. She has assisted clients in recovering from wildfire impact to their personal and business properties, ecological resources, and business income streams.
Ms. Chen has worked with wineries, parks, restaurants, small businesses, and homeowners impacted by wildfires and other natural disasters. She has also assisted clients in recovering millions of dollars from product recalls and other business interruption events.
Before becoming a consultant, Ms. Chen worked in public policy and project management as an assistant director in the Singapore civil service, where she led initiatives including a multi-agency project to construct the Singapore Exposition Center.
